Linda credits her parents with nurturing her love for art from a young age and encouraging freedom of artistic expression in the areas of art, sewing, and creating. She seems to have truly found her niche in the quilting industry as an instructor, lecturer, fabric designer, and author. Linda’s encouraging and effective teaching style shows students at every level of quilting how to make beautiful, artistic quilts. I have watched many, many courses on Craftsy, but this one by Linda on iQuilt has to be one of the best on modern quilting techniques. You feel as though you are right in the room with Linda. amazing class, have the applique book but I am more of a visual person, and self taught, learned more about painted applique and how to turn under the edges. Hope to see more of Linda’s beautiful painted applique pieces like flowers. How the units are put together, this class is for a beginner advance person still learn something new.

What a wonderful new way of making art quilts! For a couple of years I tried various methods of fabric painting and made many not-so-happy mistakes. I am so glad I took this course! I am an experienced fabric painter and still found lots of great info regarding supplies, tools, and techniques. Linda’s style is easy going, which was very important to me as I tend to “zoom” through info and speed read content. Her style helped me slow down, focus, and really pay attention….and I did not get bored or wish she would “move on” even one time! I happened to have all the materials on hand needed to start practicing with Linda’s technique and am really pleased to be able to go back to various parts of the lessons any time I want to, on my own time, and as often as I want to.
