Autumn has officially arrived, and today in Paducah, KY the first breath of chill filled the air after a long, hot summer. To celebrate the season, we’ve put together a quilt along celebrating all the things that go bump in the night. Keep reading to learn more about the 2019 Midnight in the Pumpkin Patch Quilt Along!
Midnight in the Pumpkin Patch by Emily Cross
30″ x 30″
The quilt features four Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) blocks ranging in difficulty from easy FPP to challenging FPP. We bring you tips and tricks for making each FPP block. In the final part, we make the pumpkin setting blocks and finish the quilt.
To begin, gather your fabrics and suggested supplies.
When picking fabrics, have fun and feel free to go crazy with color, like with the pastel-brite version below.
It can be helpful for the fabrics used for the objects in the block to read as almost solid colored for a crisp outline.
The fabric requirements are broken down by block or component so you can make each part of the quilt to match your vision. The blocks are all paper pieced and the fabric yardage is calculated to have some leftover fabric, but if you know you use a lot of yardage when paper piecing, add enough to the yardage given to make you feel confident.
