Patchwork Cutting Instructions
From the red fabric, cut:
(16) 1½” x 1½”
From the green fabric, cut:
(8) 2⅞” x 2⅞” cut in half diagonally once
From the cream fabric, cut:
(16) 2” x 2” cut in half diagonally once
Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) Cutting Instructions
From the red fabric, cut:
A1 – (16) 2” x 2”
From the green fabric, cut:
A4 – (8) 3½” x 3½” cut in half diagonally once
From the cream fabric, cut:
A2 & A3 – (16) 2½” x 2½” cut in half diagonally once
Unit Assembly
Patchwork Block 22 Unit
Lay a cream triangle and lay it right sides together over a red 1½” square, oriented as shown below. Sew a ¼” seam, press, and trim the cream even to the red square. Sew another cream triangle to the red square as shown below.
Mark a sewing line ¼” from the long edge of a green triangle. Lay the marked green triangle over the previous unit, lining it up to the square side of the previous unit and sew on the marked line. Trim the seam allowance and press.
Block 22 unit measures 2½” square. Make 16.

Print the FPP patterns and measure the 1″ square to ensure accurate printing size.
Follow the numbers of the FPP templates to complete the unit in numerical order. Trim the units to 2½” x 2½” unfinished. Make 16 units and remove paper.

Use the block diagram above to lay the block out. Sew the units into four rows.
Sew the rows together to complete the block.
Block measures 8½” x 8½” unfinished.
