Cutting Instructions
From the red fabric, cut:
(2) 4½” x 4½”
From the green fabric, cut:
(8) 1½” x 2½”
From the cream fabric, cut:
(2) 2½” x 2½”
(16) 1½” x 1½”
Unit Assembly
Uneven Nine-Patch
Sew a cream 1½” x 1½” square to both ends of a green 1½” x 2½” rectangle, and press towards the green. Make 4.
Sew a green 1½” x 2½” rectangle to both sides of a cream 2½” x 2½” square, and press towards the green. Make 2.
Sew the strips together into an Uneven Nine-Patch as shown above. Make 2 units.
Snowball
Mark the wrong side of 4 cream 1½” squares in half diagonally once. Lay a marked cream square over the corner of a red 4½” square, right sides together. Sew on the marked line. Trim a ¼” seam and press.
Repeat on the remaining corners with the marked cream 1½” squares to make a Snowball unit. Make 2 units.
Block Assembly
Use the block diagram above to lay the block out. Then sew the units into rows.
Sew the rows together to complete the block.
Block measures 8½” x 8½” unfinished.
