Six Block Table Topper
14 1/2″ x 26″ approximately

Fabric Requirements
Red – 1/2 yard
White – 1/2 yard
6 – 4 1/2″ unfinished quilt blocks
Cutting Instructions
From the red fabric, cut:
(4) 4 7/8″ x 4 7/8″ squares, cut in half diagonally
(3) 2 1/2″ x width of fabric strips for binding
From the white fabric, cut:
(4) 4 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ squares
(2) 4 7/8″ x 4 7/8″ squares, cut in half diagonally
(2) 2″ x 22 3/4″ strips
(2) 2″ x 11 1/2″ strips
Assembly
Using the color diagram above, sew the triangles, squares, and blocks together in on-point rows.
Sew the rows together to complete the center.
Sew the 2″ x 22 3/4″ strips to each side of the topper. Trim to match the length of the center.
Sew the 2″ x 11 1/2″ strips to the top and bottom of the topper. Trim to match the width of the center.
Layer, quilt as desired, and bind.

Four Block Table Topper

Fabric Requirements
Red – 1/8 yard
White – 1/4 yard
4 – 4 1/2″ unfinished quilt blocks
Cutting Instructions
From the red fabric, cut:
(18) 2″ x 2″ squares
(4) 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ squares
(2) 2 1/2″ x width of fabric strips for binding
From the white fabric, cut:
(18) 2″ x 2 ” squares
(12) 1″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles
(9) 1″ x 1″ squares
Assembly
Make Half Square Triangles using the 2″ red and white squares by marking a diagonal line on the backs of the white squares.
Layer the red and white squares right sides together and sew a 1/4″ on each side of the drawn line. Cut apart on the line. Trim to 1 1/2″. Make 36 Half Square Triangles.
Using the color image above as a guide, sew the sashing to the blocks to make rows.
Sew the two rows together to complete the center of the quilt.
Sew 9 Half Square Triangles together for each side. Be sure to check the orientation of the Half Square Triangles with the diagram above.
Sew the Half Square Triangle borders to each side.
Sew the 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ red squares to each end of the top and bottom Half Square Triangle borders, then sew the borders to the quilt.
Layer, quilt as desired, and bind.
