Light Tan — 5/8 yards
Medium Tan — 5/8 yards
Dark Tan — 5/8 yards
Dark Blue — 1 3/8 yards
Backing — 2 1/8 yards
Binding — 1/4 yards
Cutting Instructions
From the light tan fabric, cut:
(1) 19 1/4″ x 19 1/4″ square
From the medium tan fabric, cut:
(1) 19 1/4″ x 19 1/4″ square
From the dark tan fabric, cut:
(12) 7″ x 7″ squares
From the dark blue fabric, cut:
(2) 19 1/4″ x 19 1/4″ square
(12) 7″ x 7″ squares
(4) 6 1/2″ x 6 1/2″ squares
Assembly
Mark the wrong side of the dark tan 7″ squares in half diagonally once. Lay a marked dark tan square over a dark blue 7″ square, right sides together. Sew a quarter inch from each side of the marked line. Cut apart on the marked line and press towards the dark blue.
Trim each Half Square Triangle to 6 1/2″ square. Make 24.
Repeat with the medium tan 19 1/4″ square and a dark blue 19 1/4″ square. Trim Half Square Triangle to 18 1/2″ square. Make 2.
Repeat with the light tan 19 1/4″ square and a dark blue 19 1/4″ square. Trim Half Square Triangle to 18 1/2″ square. Make 2.
Sew dark tan/dark blue Half Square Triangles together in threes as shown. Unit measures 6 1/2″ x 18 1/2″ unfinished. Make 4.
Sew to the dark blue side of an 18 1/2″ Half Square Triangle. Unit measures 18 1/2″ x 24 1/2″ unfinished. Make 4.
Sew dark tan/dark blue Half Square Triangles and a dark blue 6 1/2″ square together as shown. Unit measures 6 1/2″ x 24 1/2″ unfinished. Make 4.
Sew to the remaining dark blue side of an 18 1/2″ Half Square Triangle. Block measures 24 1/2″ unfinished. Make 4.
Sew the four blocks together, alternating between medium tan and light tan as shown. Quilt measures 48 1/2″ x 48 1/2″ unfinished.
