American Made Brand Fabrics:
Light Eggplant
Dark Fuchsia
Gold
Light Yellow
Download the Foundation Paper Piecing Patterns.
- Print 12 pattern B.
- Print 4 pattern A.
Instructions:
From the gold fabric, cut (6) 3″ x 3″ squares.
From the light eggplant fabric, cut:
(6) 3″ x 3″ squares
(4) 2 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ rectangles
(1) 4 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ square
Half Square Trianges
Using the 3″ gold and light eggplant squares, sew Half Square Triangles by marking a diagonal line on the backs of the gold squares, layering right sides together with the light eggplant squares, and sewing a 1/4″ on either side of the marked line. Cut on the marked line and press. Trim to 2 1/2″. Make 12.
Unit B
Using the light yellow and dark fuchsia fabrics, paper piece unit B with the fuchsia in position 1 and 3. Make 8.
Paper piece unit B with the light yellow in position 1 and 3. Make 4.
Using the colored block image above, assemble the B units into Nine Patches. Make 4.
Unit A
Using the light yellow and dark fuchsia fabrics, paper piece unit A with the light yellow in position 1 and 3. Make 4.
Block Assembly:
Using the assembly diagram below, sew the units into rows, and the rows into a block.
Block measures 12 1/2″ unfinished.
